winning culture. We are seeking an energetic and driven 1st Team Head Coach / Player Coach
who will inspire, lead and develop our senior squad.
Role Overview
The Head Coach / Player Coach will be responsible for leading the senior team,
implementing a clear and effective playing style, and fostering a positive team culture. This
role requires a coach with great energy, excellent technical and tactical knowledge, strong
leadership skills, and a deep understanding of how to build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a clear playing philosophy aligned with the club’s ambitions.
• Lead all aspects of team preparation, training sessions, match-day coaching, and analysis.
• Be an excellent role model to the players.
• Foster a strong player led team culture that promotes accountability.
• Provide high-quality coaching focused on skill development and game plan execution.
• Work closely with assistant coaches, other senior coaches, physios and support staff
to ensure a cohesive, empowered and well aligned backroom team.
• Supporting a successful youth pathway to senior rugby.
• Promote a positive and professional club environment, both on and off the field.
Essential Requirements
• A driven, high energy, self-motivated character.
• Proven coaching experience at a competitive level, and capable of providing examples
of success.
• A relevant coaching qualification (IRFU Stage 4 or equivalent preferred).
• Strong technical and tactical rugby knowledge.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to both challenge the players and make it an enjoyable environment to play
their rugby.
